Institutionen för hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik (SEED)

Institutionen för hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik består av tre etablerade KTH-enheter: Avdelningen för miljöstrategisk analys, Avdelningen för industriell ekologi och  Avdelningen för mark- och vattenteknik.

This Eureka project within the cluster ACQUEAU started 2016-01-01 and has a duration of 18 months. The project is coordinated by Bioptech AB (from 2016-01-01 Ecofiltration AB), a spin-off from KTH research with professor Gunno Renman as co-founder. The other partners are KTH, Division of Land and Water Resources Engineering and three companies in Poland (Bioptech Polska, POMInnO sp. z o.o., DOT-EKO). Members of the KTH team are Associate Pro-fessor Ann-Catrine Norrström (project leader), Tekn. Dr. Agnieszka Renman and Professor Gunno Renman. The total budget is 1.4 M€.

AUV swimming in cultivated kelp
First experiments with an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) swimming in cultivated kelp algae. The experiment was performed as a joint experiment between KTH and Gothenburg university at the Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Infrastructure, Tjärnö, Sweden.

Although Bangladesh has made progress towards achieving its goal of access to improved water supply, significant challenges remain in terms of quality and sustainability of the water supply. About 65% of the population lack access to drinking water that is arsenic safe and free from microbial contamination.....
